Ethos

“Thoughtful design, rooted in care for the earth and the people we celebrate.”

A lifelong respect for the environment is at the heart of both my life and my work. As a small business owner, I believe it’s my responsibility to minimize our impact on the earth through thoughtful, intentional choices at every stage of the design process.
I compost and recycle whenever possible, reuse and responsibly manage all shipping and packaging materials, and avoid floral foam and other single-use plastics. Instead, I rely on sustainable floral mechanics and prioritize local, seasonal flowers.
My business is open to all, and I proudly support marriage equality—creating work that is both beautiful and respectful of the world and community we share.

Design Style

Lush, romantic, garden-inspired florals define our work. We love arrangements that feel abundant and natural, with movement and texture, inspired by classic cottage gardens and the season at hand.

A Love Of Color

Color is where we like to push a little. Bold, layered palettes and unexpected combinations are a favorite challenge, balanced carefully so the result feels expressive, cohesive, and refined.

The Process

We work closely with you to understand what matters most, offering thoughtful guidance and clear communication throughout the planning process. From initial conversations to installation day, our approach is collaborative, organized, and designed to feel calm and supportive.

Values & Sustainability

Respect for the environment guides the way we work. We prioritize local, seasonal flowers, use foam-free mechanics, and make thoughtful choices to reduce waste.

Our process is guided by careful listening and open communication, creating a welcoming, affirming experience for couples of all identities and backgrounds.

Hi! I’m Rue

Natural, refined florals inspired by Coastal Maine.

With over sixteen years of experience designing wedding flowers, I moved my business from Boston to Midcoast Maine in 2019. Since then, I’ve found a welcoming, creative community of wedding professionals who value collaboration and care as much as beautiful results.
I’m grateful to work closely with local flower farms, sourcing the freshest seasonal blooms available and prioritizing sustainability, quality, and thoughtful design. My approach is personal and attentive, offering clients a calm, well-considered experience alongside beautifully crafted floral design. My work is inspired by the natural elegance of Maine—flowers that feel abundant yet refined, effortless yet intentional.
