Our flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS and we are so thankful for Rue’s help in making our wedding so special. From the very beginning, Rue provided us a detailed proposal that clearly showed she understood our vision and style. We wanted something bright, fun, modern, and totally unique and the results were incredible. Numerous people came up to us throughout the wedding and told us we had the most beautiful flowers. We were worried about having a wedding on Peak Island and logistics, but Rue was a total pro and handled everything perfectly so we were never stressed. We’re so grateful to Rue for making our wedding so beautiful!
Rue and her team were fantastic! From start to finish, Rue was incredibly dedicated, open, and caring in really bringing to life a wedding floral style that both complemented our venue’s unique setting in Casco Bay as well as reflected our personalities. The focal point of the ceremony that we were really excited about was the chuppah and Rue came through with shining colors in creating a beautiful backdrop! We absolutely LOVED the flowers that Rue put together for our wedding day. Our wedding plans went through several iterations as we considered how best to proceed amidst the pandemic. Rue was flexible along the way and remained positive and supportive throughout. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs as we navigated covid-19 and at the end of the day she left us with the most beautiful flowers a couple could ask for. On top of it all, she was an absolute sweetheart and pleasure to work with.
Rue did an incredible job with the flowers for our wedding in June 2019, and she was wonderful to work with as well. She was accommodating of lots of changes to the floral plan in the months leading up to the wedding, and was always understanding and conscious of budget. On our wedding day, we actually had a short but furious hail storm right before the ceremony, but Rue had been watching the weather and knew it was coming so she made sure the flowers were all extra secure on the arbor – and they looked perfect after the hail had passed. Everything held up and looked beautiful, including my flower crown that I wore 2 days in a row. We can definitely recommend Geraniums Red Delphiniums Blue!
WOW! Rue designed our flower arrangements for our backyard wedding in July. Leading up to the wedding, she was responsive and helpful. We knew that native plants were very important to us. We asked for a color scheme of blues, purples, and yellows with thistles as accents. Rue worked with local farms to find plants that fit our vision. She came out a week before the wedding to assess the backyard and suggest some pots to accent the space. It was one of the hottest days Maine has seen in a decade so she put out flowers the night before and only used the ones that stood up to the heat for my bouquet and my flower comb. She and her team worked tirelessly to set up the day of. Everything was so beautiful and she made our vision come to life. Thank you so much!
Rue did all the flowers for my Maine island wedding on 9/7/19 and I am so happy with my experience! Rue was so creative and accommodating with the whole process- from our first meeting to execution. We decided on seasonal local flowers for bouquets and they turned out beautiful! A truly talented artist!
We used Geraniums Red Delphiniums Blue for our May, 2019 wedding in Kennebunkport, ME. Rue was wonderful to work with. I sent her my Pinterest pictures for my bouquets and cake flowers and what she was created was absolutely perfect. We did everything via e-mail and it worked great. I would highly recommend to anyone!
I researched florists for a while in the coastal Southern Maine area for our beach wedding. I was looking for a unique, tropical style and found that most florists in the area weren’t willing to stray from the local “in season” flowers. I hoped I would connect with a floral designer who would be willing to think outside of the box and kept searching. I finally came across the Geraniums Red, Delphiniums Blue website and I contacted the owner, Rue Brown. Rue was kind, incredibly flexible, and seemed genuinely excited about designing a tropical theme for our wedding. She quickly created and emailed me a beautiful design presentation that depicted my vision perfectly. On the day of our wedding, Rue herself came to set up and ensure everything was to our liking. The flowers, arrangements, and flora were absolutely gorgeous…perfect actually!! Rue’s professionalism, design skill, attention to detail, and deep desire to please her clients was impressive.
