Alex and Nick are a sweet couple who planned their destination wedding in Maine for 2020.
They waited and waited hoping that the pandemic would be over in time for their October wedding. They finally realized they were sadly going to have to reschedule it for the following year.
Many couples did an extraordinary amount of work rescheduling and rebooking venues and vendors. Some couples did it twice or three times!
As hard as it was for wedding vendors to have to reschedule all of our 2020 weddings and lose an entire season of work, it was so disappointing to see our couples going through this.
At some point Alex and Nick decided they just couldn’t take the stress of postponing their wedding and decided on a simple backyard affair with their closest family and friends.
While I normally wouldn’t take on such a small wedding so far away, I tried to do whatever I could for my couples during this extremely challenging year. So I decided to deliver their bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages to Natick, MA
Although it wasn’t what they had originally planned, they had a lovely small ceremony in their backyard with a mini-reception in a small tent.
And of course, the dog-of-honor stole the spotlight!
